A storm dropped a limb across the front roof cap of a Class A coach, and the owner arrived at our Yorba Linda shop with a cracked cap, a soft front corner, and water already staining the overhead cabinet. It left road-ready, with rebuilt laminate, a fully resealed roof, and a front cap color-matched to the original finish.

## What did the coach look like on arrival?

The fiberglass front cap had a long fracture running from the impact toward the driver corner. The roof membrane was torn at the leading edge, and the front overhead had taken on water during the days before drop-off.
From the ground it looked like one cracked panel. On the roof it was clearly more.

## What did teardown actually find?

- A fractured front cap with stress radiating past the impact
- Torn membrane and dried, split sealant along the front seam
- Wet, softened decking under the leading roof edge
- The start of delamination in the front overhead wall

## How was the repair sequenced?

We dried the structure first, then replaced the soft decking and rebuilt the fractured laminate rather than skinning over it. The front cap was repaired and refinished, and the membrane and seams were laid back as one sealed system.
Only after the structure was sound did we move to finish and color match.

## How close is the color match?

The front cap blends into the original gelcoat without a visible line. On a coach with aged factory finish, that means matching not just the color but the sheen the sun has already changed.

## How did the claim come together?

The owner's storm photos tied the damage to a single event, and we billed the carrier directly. The hidden-damage supplement for the wet decking was documented and approved before that work went ahead.
